Take your mark, get set, go…California Governor Jerry Brown recently signed Bill AC34. This new law will be used to facilitate the financing needed for the improvements to the San Francisco waterfront neighborhood that will house the America’s Cup Village and the construction of a new cruise ship terminal at Pier 27. Interesting note: cruise ships will be used as additional lodgings during this World Class sailing event in 2013.
The America’s Cup event is projected to bring almost half a million visitors to the Bay Area. It will also create more than 8,000 jobs and add $1.2 billion in economic activity to the city of San Francisco and the surrounding bay area towns and cities.
